Appearance[]

Kizuna is a teenage girl who has tanned rosy skin, long light fuchsia hair and bright amber eyes. She keeps her hair down while some of it is tied into pigtails, adorned with pale dark orange ribbons.
Kizuna's outfit resembles that of a typical cheerleader. It consists of a white and azure cropped top with three yellow stars printed adjacently across her top, a short dark blue skirt, white thigh high socks with blue jagged ends where small yellow star patterns can be seen on each sock, and white sneakers with midnight blue soles and laces. It also has yellow stars printed on both toe vamps and sides.
The gold star on her right cheek is a tattoo. [3]
When she was younger, Kizuna had shorter hair and two yellow star-shaped hairclips are used to secure her pigtails in place. She wore a navy blue dress with a white collar and inner flaps. A gamboge bow is tied below it and three yellow star patterns are woven in the left side of her dress. She is also holding a brown teddy bear in her right hand.[4]
In an "Athletics" drawing posted by LINUJ, Kizuna wears a white-trimmed deep pink zip-up jacket over a white sweatshirt and white shorts. The ribbons that are used to hold her pigtails in place are now replaced by black rubber hair ties and a gray whistle is hanging around her neck.[5]
Kizuna also owns a set of bright golden orange pompoms as seen in her illustration and her dorm room.
Name Etymology[]
Kizuna's first name uses the kanji 絆, meaning "bonds" or "relationship (between people)", while her surname, Tomori, is written by using the kanji 友 (tomo) meaning "friend", and 利 (ri) meaning "advantage" or "benefit". As a whole, her last name could mean "friendship".
Personality[]
Kizuna is an extremely confident and motivated person, which is also key to her becoming a cheerleader. Her motivated self in the past helped her previous cheerleading team, going as far as to claim that her motivation ensured an almost 100% chance of her team winning. Mostly because of her energized and cheerful behavior, she likes to encourage others to be as lively as her, but she can also be overly casual and pushy towards people she has only just met. Kizuna, perhaps as a result of her confidence, is a flirtatious person, as shown in her self introduction with Yuki. Her confident demeanour quickly changes in the face of danger, however, with her freaking out and panicking in multiple instances, namely when she was told that she had to live in Kibōgamine Gakuen forever, and when the first motive was given. This, during certain instances, flares up her distrust in the other participants, and causing distrust to spread through the others after the motive is revealed. During the class trial, it's shown that Kizuna may be, to a degree, short-tempered as well, angered with Yuki and a few of her other classmates at certain points of the trial.
Kizuna has a habit of giving people nicknames, even to those (such as Yuki) who already have a short name to start with.
History[]
Killing Game[]
Prologue[]
Kizuna was one of the fourteen students to introduce herself to Yuki Maeda. It's said by Yuki that the old team Kizuna was in had an 100% chance of winning due to her. Soon after he introduction, she along with the other students would start to head inside the school. They would, however, fall unconscious.

Once Kizuna woke up from her unconsciousness, she would head to the entrance hall, regrouping with the other students. Soon, an anonymous announcement would play, telling everyone to head to the gym. Once arriving there, Monokuma would show up, announcing the Killing Game. At the announcement, Kizuna would appear panicked.
Chapter 1[]
The first day of the killing game, Kizuna would investigate the school with Kakeru, Tsurugi, and Mitsuhiro. They would investigate the student dorm rooms, and discovered the door to the second floor of the dorms was blocked by a wire mesh. A few days later, the first motive was handed out in the form of a video. Although the contents of her video are unknown, she is very distressed over it, and rapidly grows very distrustful and cynical. After everyone had watched the videos, Kiyoka would ask on how to escape. Kizuna would reply that "there's one way", alluding to murder, which Mitsuhiro would say outright, sparking distrust within the group.
Chapter 2[]
After Mitsuhiro’s execution, Tsurugi creates a group to ensure the safety of the students. Of the students, everyone would join with the exception of three people. Kizuna was one of the three, along with Rei and Kinji. While she had left the dining hall before breakfast could commence, he is found investigating the newly opened bathhouse of the dorm floor alongside Akane and Haruhiko. The next day, Monokuma would call them all to the gym and give them the second motive: each other's secrets. While they aren't allowed to choose their own secret, they can choose each other's secrets. Kizuna's secret is unknown, and she receives Teruya's secret, which is that he sleeps with his dad. At some point, she would find Yuki's secret, which is that he knows the mastermind. Later that day, Kizuna is found crying by Akane and Yuki. The next day, Akane mentions seeing Kizuna crying during breakfast, so the students in Tsurugi's group go to the gym to invite her to rejoin. Kizuna accepts.
That same day, Kizuna stopped at the antique shop to grab some tools to use in a murder, such as a lighter, flashlights and a fuse. Upon finding Yuki's secret, she planned to use it to capture Akane, whom she told to go to the switchium alone. When she arrived, Kizuna revealed a plan to kill Yuki and the secret note, mentioning how Yuki would know the mastermind. When Akane refused, Kizuna charged at her with a knife, attempting to kill her. However, Akane dodged the first strike and attempted to run away, but was pushed by Kizuna and then attempted to resist her, including swinging a knife in front of her nose. This caused the flashlights to break and left the switchium in complete darkness while the struggle continued for a few more minutes before the knife was stabbed into Kizuna's stomach, causing her to let Akane go. Akane left in order to get out of the situation, leaving Kizuna in a dying state. She ended up writing a dying message that spelled 'maid' which referenced Akane, the student who stabbed her.
After Ayame noticed Akane running away from the switchium with blood on her hands, she found Kizuna lying in blood in the switchium, bleeding out. Ayame then took the knife that was stuck in Kizuna's stomach and thrusted it into her neck, severely wounding her. Her last moments were used to write a large X next to the word 'maid' she had previously spelt, which was to tell everyone that Akane wasn't the killer.
Chapter 5[]
It is revealed Kizuna's dead body is stored on the first floor of the laboratory/fifth floor of the presumed Kibōgamine Gakuen.
Chapter 0[]
Kizuna would ask Mitsuhiro for money to buy the latest phone, but he would decline since she hadn't paid him back the previous 100,000 yen he lent her previously. She was under the impression it was a gift, garnering his anger as he couldn't understand how that much money could be considered a gift. Unable to get money from him again, she would notice Yuki and ask him for 50,000 yen, growing dejected when Yuki says he doesn't have that kind of money. She contemplates asking Akane or Kiyoka, but would feel bad asking them for that much. She then offers to talk with Yuki if ever felt bored.
Chapter 6[]
In a flashback of Utsuro's memories during the trial, Kizuna is seen on the back of Yamato's utility truck escaping the tragedy. Bored of the silence, she urges people to talk and make jokes, but any attempts only make it worse. The flashback cuts to the day the Monokumas attacked the Kisaragi Foundation, Kizuna left crying as Kiyoka shoots Monokumas and Mitsuhiro kicks metal balls at them. Mitsuhiro would appoint her to investigate a vent behind them, and she would do so, but Monokumas inside would knock her unconscious.
Chapter EX[]
In Danganronpa EX, Kizuna along with everyone par Akane and Yuki would survive, escaping the killing game before it had started.
Talent & Abilities[]
Cheerleader[]

It's said by Yuki that Kizuna's talent was able to motivate her previous team enough to ensure they had an 100% chance of winning. Her talent doesn't come in as handy as everyone else in Danganronpa Another.
